I ’ll never forget the day that Deputy Al Schaffuer came to our football practice at Nordhoff High School to introduce a program called Cops ‘N Jocks. It was weird having a cop come to cheer for our team and be our friend. Today, I am a deputy with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department and my Sergeant, Al Schaffuer, is my supervisor while in custody.  I take great pride in not only being a deputy, but also being a part of this program wile serving as a staff officer.
